On November 4th, the United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee held a private entrepreneurs symposium to thoroughly study and implement the guiding principles of the important speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping made at the symposium on private enterprise. Xu Lejiang, Deputy Minister of the United Front Work Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Secretary of Party Leadership of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, presided over the meeting. Member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee You Quan attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Lu Weiding was invited to participate in the symposium and made a speech. 

You Quan pointed out that General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech fully demonstrated the firm determination to adhere to the basic economic system of socialism with Chinese characteristics and fully expressed the clear attitude of unswervingly encouraging and supporting the development of the non-public economy, and clarified the confusing understanding and ideological doubts of some people in the society, which had great theoretical and practical significance.

You Quan stressed that it was a major political task to study and implement the important speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping and support the development of the private economy, which mattered to the economic security and social stability in our country. All the private entrepreneurs should strengthen their confidence in the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics, in the policies and principles of the CPC Central Committee, and in the prospects of enterprise development to run the enterprises without distractions and speed up the enterprises’ pace of transformation and upgrading in order to maintain the enterprises’ stable and long-term development. The united front departments and the federation of industry and commerce at all levels should assist the party committees and the governments in improving policies and measures, facilitate communication between governments and enterprises, promote the implementation of policies, help enterprises to solve difficulties, and create a better environment for the development of private economy.

Lu Weiding said that the speech of the General Secretary at the private enterprise symposium made him excited, moved and flattered. The next step for Wanxiang was to thoroughly learn the General Secretary’s instructions and expectation, which would be planted into Wanxiang people’s mind. Lu Weiding thought that the current problems of the private enterprises were still their own problems. They needed a basic and sound corporate governance structure, a fairly complete modern enterprise system that could be continuously constructed. As the “second generation of entrepreneur” recognized by the General Sectary and the new generation of private entrepreneurs, he would inherit and carry forward the spirit of hard work and daring to do of the older generation, continue to concentrate on the main business and make it well developed. Focusing on the industry and exploring at the frontier, we Wanxiang ensured that we would follow the party’s direction and instructions to strive to make Wanxiang become stronger and better with sustained development. We should further expand our international vision and enhance our innovation capabilities and core competitiveness as well.
