A list of the country's top 100 outstanding private entrepreneurs over the past four decades of reform and opening-up was released by the United Front Work Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce in Beijing on Oct 24 in a press conference, and Lu guanqiu, chairman of Wanxiang group, is the only deceased entrepreneur on the list.

On the 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up, to promote the huge achievements the private economy has made, demonstrate the profile of the private entrepreneurs who build socialism with Chinese characteristics, vigorously promote the spirit of the outstanding entrepreneurs so as to encourage people in the non-public sector of the economy to "never forget their original intention of starting up a business, and continue to make great achievements in reform" and make new contributions to realizing the Chinese dream of national rejuvenation, the United Front Work Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce decided to recommend and publicize the 100 outstanding private entrepreneurs over the past four decades of reform and opening-up.
