Jeff Colyer, Governor of Kansas, and his delegation visited 150 North Riverside Plaza in Chicago on the morning of 19th September, discussing on Wanxiang’s investment and development opportunities in Kansas.
NI Pin, member of the Board of Directors and Senior Executive Vice-president of Wanxiang, introduced Wanxiang’s development in the United States at first, especially how Wanxiang has developed manufacturing, provided job opportunities, and boomed communities in the Middle West. Colyer congratulated Wanxiang for the achievements it has achieved in the United States, appreciated Wanxiang for how it has developed business in the Middle West and encouraged China-invested enterprises to invest in the Middle West, and hoped that Wanxiang would increase investment and promote business in Kansas, which will win the whole-hearted support of Kansas government. While discussing on the challenges and difficulties between China and the United States, NI put forward Wanxiang’s “1,000 Schools” plan, which aims to popularize solar energy in the United States. Colyer hoped Kansas could be one of the first batch of states to join the plan. He also confirmed that Wanxiang’s success in the United States was inevitable because it always takes broad and long-term view.
